Ghostwriting Service

You already have the material.
I turn it into the book.

I gather what you've already written, said, or lived, and turn it into a finished, publishable book. You keep the byline and the copyright. I do the structuring, interviewing, and final polish.

From $1,500 to $9,500 · 2 to 16 weeks · You own the copyright · Based in Torrance, CA, working with clients across the U.S.

Same person, different kind of care.

My day job is tech care for small businesses: broken sites, tangled integrations, slow pages, hacked servers. The through-line is the same: someone has a mess of raw material and needs one person to take it on, structure it, and finish it. A book is just a different kind of mess. More about me and how I work →

You probably already have the material.

Most people who want to write a book already have the raw material. They just don't have the time and structure to turn it into a finished book. That's the gap I fill.

Packages from $1,500 to $9,500

From raw material to finished book.

The same six-step process for every package. The difference is what source material we gather and how much interviewing is involved.

1

Discovery call (free, 20 minutes)

I confirm which package fits, assess whether the source material exists, and quote a price. No pressure, no obligation. I'll also write a 500-word sample from your own material so you can see the voice before you commit.

2

Intake and permissions

You sign the intake form and the source material license. You confirm you own or have permission to use everything you hand me.

3

Gather

You send the source material via a secure upload folder. Blog posts, LinkedIn, podcast transcripts, talks, letters, photos. I catalog everything.

4

Structure call (60 to 90 minutes)

We agree on the book's arc, chapter outline, and voice. For memoir and family legacy packages, this is the first of several interviews.

5

Draft and polish

I draft chapter by chapter against the structured outline, drawing from your source material. You review each chapter. Then a final editorial pass for voice consistency, fact-checking, and cleanup.

6

Deliver

Print-ready PDF and EPUB files. Optional publishing add-on ($750) covers cover design, ISBN, and KDP or IngramSpark setup.

Straight answers to the obvious questions.

Who owns the copyright?

You do. Fully. The moment you pay the final invoice, the copyright is yours. The book reads like you, not like me. Your name goes on the cover.

Can I list you as co-author or in the acknowledgments?

Co-author: no, this is ghostwriting. Acknowledgments: yes, if you want to. Your choice either way.

What if I don't have any source material?

Then this isn't the right service. I work from what you already have. If you have no body of work, no talks, no interviews, and no willingness to be interviewed, I'm not the right vendor. Use the contact form and I'll refer you to a full ghostwriter who writes from scratch.

What if I don't like a chapter?

Two rounds of revision per chapter are included. If after two rounds it's still not right, we talk about whether the source material or the brief needs adjusting. Additional revisions are $150 per hour.

Do you write fiction?

No. Memoir and nonfiction only. I don't write novels.

Is my material kept confidential?

Yes. Source material is stored in a private folder, shared only with you, and deleted on request after delivery. I don't share client material with anyone else.

How do you handle sensitive material in memoirs?

For memoir and family legacy projects, I flag anything that names a non-consenting living person. We discuss whether to anonymize, get consent, or cut. I won't publish something that exposes someone without their consent unless you take full legal responsibility in writing.

What platforms do you publish to?

KDP (Amazon) and IngramSpark by default. Other platforms on request. The publishing add-on ($750) covers cover design, ISBN, and setup.

What's not included?

Marketing the book after publication. Guaranteed bestseller status (anyone who promises this is lying). Unlimited revisions (two rounds per chapter included, then $150 per hour). Print copies are included in the Family Legacy package (ten softcover) but not in the others. Additional print copies are available at cost for any package.

How do I get started?

Use the contact form or email me. A 20-minute discovery call. If we're a fit, I send the intake form and the source material license. You sign, pay the 50 percent deposit, and we begin.

Start with a 20-minute call.

Tell me what you have and what you want. I'll tell you which package fits and what it costs. No pressure, no obligation. I'll also write a 500-word sample from your own material, free, so you can hear the voice before you decide.
