The actual prompt, the actual output

What an AI-drafted first pass actually looks like.

Not a mockup. These are real prompts run through a general-purpose AI assistant, shown with the real output, unedited. Built as illustrative examples for common small-business tasks — not pulled from a specific client's private work.

Every one of these still gets read and approved by a person before it goes out. That's the workflow, not a limitation of it.

Example 1: Google review reply

Before (the review, from a customer):

"Brought my car in for a brake job, they found a coolant leak I didn't know about and showed me photos before doing anything extra. Fair price, done same day. Only wish they had text updates instead of calling while I was in a meeting."

The prompt given to the AI:

"Draft a reply to this Google review for [shop name], a family-owned auto repair shop. Friendly, specific, under 60 words, thank them by first name if given, and acknowledge the texting feedback without over-promising a fix. Here's the review: [pasted above]"

After (AI-drafted output, ready for a human to review and post):

"Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad we could catch that coolant leak before it became a bigger problem — that's exactly why we always show photos first. Really appreciate the note about texting instead of calling; we're looking at ways to offer that. Hope to see you again!"

Time saved: ~5 minutes per review vs. writing from scratch. At 10–15 reviews a month, that's roughly an hour.

Example 2: Job-site notes → customer quote

Before (voice memo transcribed at the job site):

"front and back yard, maybe 4200 square feet total, they want biweekly mowing and edging, there's a slope on the side that'll need a push mower not the rider, and they've got a dog so gate needs to stay latched"

After (AI-drafted quote, ready to review and send):

"Thanks for having us out today! Here's your quote for biweekly lawn service:

Property: ~4,200 sq ft (front & back)
Service: Biweekly mowing and edging, front and back
Notes: Side slope will be maintained with a push mower for safety and turf health. We'll make sure the side gate is latched after every visit for your dog.

Estimated rate: [pricing per your standard rate card]

Let us know if you'd like to get started, and we'll get you on the schedule."

Time saved: ~15–20 minutes per quote vs. writing it up that evening from memory.

Example 3: Bullet list → weekly bulletin

Before (announcements as typed by the office admin):

"potluck sunday after service, sign up sheet in the lobby. volunteers needed for the food pantry sat morning. new sermon series starts next week on the book of james. choir practice moved to wednesday nights"

After (AI-drafted bulletin section, ready to review and format):

"This Week
🍽️ Potluck Sunday — Join us after the service! Sign up in the lobby to let us know what you're bringing.
🙌 Volunteers Needed — We need hands at the food pantry this Saturday morning. Reach out to the front desk if you can help.
📖 New Series: James — Starting next week, we're diving into the book of James. Invite a friend!
🎶 Choir Practice — Now meeting Wednesday nights. See you there."

Time saved: ~20–30 minutes of formatting and phrasing per week.
