I've spent 16 years in customer service. Management at a major national office and tech retailer. Web hosting support at Hostica, helping small business owners with domains, email, and servers. Before that, I was the guy at the big-box store who'd spend 45 minutes with someone who walked in frustrated and make sure they walked out with something that actually worked.

My background isn't a marketing agency. It's retail floors and hosting tickets. I learned to explain tech to people who don't have time for jargon. I learned that most small business websites don't need a rebuild. They need someone who knows the site, keeps things running, and picks up when something breaks.

How I actually work

Three things I do on every job

A client came to me recently. Auto repair shop in Torrance. Their contact form had been silently broken for weeks. Emails from potential customers were just vanishing. Nobody told them. They found out because business slowed down and someone mentioned it on Yelp.

That kind of thing makes me angry. A small business losing real leads to a technical problem nobody flagged. It's fixable. It's usually simple. But someone has to actually look.

Find the real problem

Most tech issues have a root cause that's simpler than it looks. I chase it down before proposing anything bigger.

Don't sell what you don't need

If a 15-minute config change fixes it, that's the job. I won't pad it into a "comprehensive digital transformation engagement."

Leave you with documentation

When I finish, you get a short write-up of what changed, why, and what to watch for. No guesswork. No "call me if it breaks again."
